Drugstore makeup has a great reputation, and yes, I own it! But when it comes to designer makeup, there are a few brands out there that are worth the splurge for many other reasons than the bragging right of owning it.

One of the designer brands that have my stamp of approval: Chanel. Chanel is a classic, world renowned brand for so many reasons, though sometimes the beauty is over-shined by fashion. The beauty line is clean, understated, and well formulated to have every ounce worth the many pennies. For instance, I cannot imagine my outfit coming together without a Chanel lipstick. If I forget it, everything is off the table. I cannot live without it!

When I am selecting products I want to buy I think of three things:

First:

Is this designer going to give me results over a more generic brand?

Second:

Is this product tested on animals or is it cruelty free?

Third:

Is this just a designer brand I love or is this a product that’s going to last?

Chanel checks all these boxes for me. From lipsticks to the foundation powder, I use these products every single day. Chanel also has the most stunning eyeshadow palettes. I tend to go for the neutrals. When it comes to illuminating my face in a matte non-shiny way. Go Chanel, always.
