My Skincare Routine
My daily skincare routine and skincare secrets revealed! In this post, I share the products I use in my daily skincare routine with tips on how I use them. I outline every step, starting from face cleansers and anti-redness/rosacea serums, to nighttime anti-aging creams developed by top dermatologists.
Skincare Routine: Daytime
Step 1: Cleanser
Thayers “pH Balancing Daily Cleanser with Aloe Vera.”Gentle and hydrating, this face wash is light and refreshing. I use it to help me start my day when I wake up.
CeraVe’s “Foaming Facial Cleanser” is for daily use for oily skin. I use this when my skin is feeling sticky from the hot Florida sun. The hyaluronic acid, ceramides, and niacinamide are ingredients added to help reduce redness and shine. It’s fragrance-free and paraben-free.
CeraVe’s "Hydrating Face Wash" is another daily face wash I use morning, noon, and night. It is designed to help remove makeup! Scroll to down to learn more about how I use this face wash when removing my makeup.
"Toleriane Hydrating Face Cleanser" by La Roche-Posay. Using similar ingredients such as niacinamide and ceramides, this daily face wash is fragrance-free and made for sensitive skin like mine.
Step 2: Toner
"Witch Hazel Facial Toner" by Thayers with Aloe Vera Formula. I use two fragrances: Unscented & Rose Petal.
Step 3: Under Eye Cream
“Dr Jeanette Graf Hyaluronic Skin Filler Eye Creme” was recommended to me by my mom, who has been a patient of Dr. Graf for years. Check Dr. Jeannette Graf, MD out on her Mount Sinai Doctor Profile! I love this lightweight but ultra-moisturizing and effective under eye cream. Day and night!
Step 4: Serum
“Azelaic Acid 5% Facial Serum with Niacinamide” is made to help people with rosacea. This is the most recent addition to my daily skincare routine. I took a chance and ordered this on Amazon without using it. It’s so important to truly test the products you use more than once, day and night, to ensure they provide a solution to one of your skincare needs and/or goals. I love it!
Sometimes, I apply 1-2 drops of the serum over my moisturizer. I know that isn’t the suggested use, but it helps blend my moisturizer and SPF. If your moisturizer and SPF leave your face looking white after application, try my serum blending trick!
Step 5: Moisturizer
"Toleriane Rosaliac AR Visible Redness Reducing Cream" by La Roche Posay. If you have sensitive, redness-prone skin like mine, consider this face cream to use day and night. 1-2 pumps are significantly moisturizing & hydrating for me.
You may also consider using some of my other favorite moisturizing creams in the morning:
"Hyaluronic Skin Filler Day Creme" by Dr. Jeannette Graf, M.D.
"Hydrogel Cream with Hyaluronic Acid" by Honest Beauty.
Step 6: SPF
"Ultra Le Teint Velvet" by Chanel. Sheer-to-medium coverage foundation with SPF 15. I use the color B30. I’ve been using this lightweight foundation with sunscreen by Chanel for years! I wear it at night going out, too.
"Anti-Pollution Broad Spectrum SPF 50" by Chanel. Complete UV protection sunscreen.
"Anthelios Mineral Ultra-Light Face Sunscreen SPF 50" by La Roche-Posay. Zinc Oxide sunscreen for face. Oil-Free and made for sensitive skin. Sometimes, I will blend a pump of this with a pump of my La Roche-Posay moisturizer & Cos De BAHA serum.
Skincare Routine: Nighttime
Step 1: Makeup Remover
“Plant-Based Makeup Remover Facial Wipes” by Honest Beauty. I’ve used many different makeup remover wipes over the years. Since my skin became ultra-sensitive in my 30s, I stopped using the makeup remover wipes I had been using in my twenties because they became incredibly harsh and rough on my skin. I found Honest Beauty’s makeup remover wipes, and now they’re all I use.
If your skin is prone to redness and is especially sensitive like mine, you can try dampening the wipe with warm water and squeezing it before use. I find this to be a wonderful trick to make any facial wipe less harsh on my skin.
Step 2: Cleanser
"Hydrating Face Wash" by CeraVe. My Aunt Lisa recommended I try this product this fall & I’m hooked! CeraVe’s moisturizing face wash is fragrance-free & paraben-free, which helps my sensitive skin stay rosacea-free!
I use this morning and night, but 100% always after I use makeup remover wipes. It takes that 10-20% last bit of makeup off my face that sometimes doesn’t fully come off with the makeup remover wipes alone, especially if you’re wearing black eyeliner! Buy this product at your local grocery or drug store or online on Amazon.
Step 3: Toner
Everything begins and ends with Thayers "Witch Hazel Facial Toner!"
Step 4: Under Eye Cream
“Dr Jeanette Graf Hyaluronic Skin Filler Eye Creme” is a game-changing product my mom introduced me to. I gently pat this around my eye area in the morning and at night/bedtime.
Step 5: Moisturizer
"Toleriane Dermallergo Night Cream for Face" is another favorite by La Roche-Posay!
This little blue bottle can be found at your local drug or grocery store or conveniently delivered to your front door on Amazon. It is both rich and light at the same time. 1-2 pumps are enough to moisturize my skin without the oily, sticky feel at night.
You may also consider using some of my other favorite moisturizing creams at night:
"Skin Deep Neck and Throat Creme" by Dr. Jeannette Graf, M.D.
"Hydrogel Cream with Hyaluronic Acid" by Honest Beauty.

When My Skin Feels Dry
“Organic Facial Oil for All Skin Types” by Honest Beauty. I love a product that has a long shelf life and serves multiple purposes. I use this cruelty-free, vegan facial oil in the smallest bites to target dry areas on my skin. It can also double as an under-eye moisturizer.
Natural Eyelash Growth
I never thought eyelash growth products were safe or even real until I tried Arishine’s "Premium Eyelash Serum" for sale on Amazon. This Lash serum can be used for eyelash growth and eyelash thickness. I get compliments on my eyelashes all the time. The product is vegan & cruelty-free. I have this product on Subscribe & Save!

I’ve been a customer of “Nature By Canus” since 2009. I discovered their “Natural Moisturizing Body Wash with Goat Milk” and “Creamy Body Lotion” in a small Connecticut General Store.
