Skincare can be an overwhelming, disconcerting industry. With the wide range of products when it comes to quality, price, origin, etc., how do you choose? Not to mention, factoring in your own skin behavior while trying to decide from reviews, you can’t be sure until you try it!
Some of my personal favorite skin care products that are worth the splurge:
La Roche Posay
La Roche Posay is one of the most beloved french pharmacy brands on the market. While expensive, they are great at tailoring their products to different skin types. Additionaly, they really center themselves around being simple, catering highly to sensitive skin. Some products come in small volumes, but with their products being so potent and effective, don’t let the size vs. price intimidate you! Most drug store brands add more water based ingredients as a filler!
Tata Harper
Tata Harper is known for their natural and non-toxic products— and they actually show results! The rave reviews on all of Tata’s products are well deserved and well founded. With very high standards of clean beauty, these skincare products are worth the investment. But be careful, once you try it, there’s no turning back!
SuperGoop
Supergoop is trending for a reason… their products are superb. It is known as a sunscreen brand, but their products go beyond sunscreen. They offer moisturizer, makeup primer, and even eyeshadow, all with the added benefit of sunscreen! It also protects from UVA, UVB, blue light and pollution (things I had never thought about before). Supergoop is worth the investment for your long term skin health. And, it is incredible when it’s applied!
Drunk Elephant
Drunk Elephant is a branding dream. But, we aren’t here to talk about that! Their products have grown more and more popular, rightfully so. Every product is free of essential oils, "drying alcohols," silicones, chemical sunscreens, fragrances and dyes, and SLS. If you’re going to start with one product, it must be the Babyfacial. You’ll start second guessing those monthly facials $100+.
